Raymond Sekikubo is a shining example of what determination and opportunity can achieve. At just 12 years old and in Primary Two, he is now one of the top-performing students in his class. Known for his intelligence, discipline, and kindness, Raymond not only excels in his studies but also helps his classmates learn and grow.

He dreams of becoming an engineer one day so he can give back to his community and improve lives. Every day, he works hard in school, driven by a strong desire to make his parents proud and to build a better future.

Raymond’s success today is the result of both his dedication and a second chance he never thought he would get.

Before this, Raymond’s education was uncertain. He lives in Gitta with his parents in a family of three children. His father works as a builder, but because construction jobs are not always available, the family’s income is unstable. His mother is a housewife, and his elder brother also works hard to help support the family.

Due to these financial challenges, Raymond often missed school and sometimes stayed home because his parents could not afford school fees. This was heartbreaking for a boy who loved learning so much. At one point, he lost hope, thinking he might never return to school again.

But everything changed when Beyond Nations stepped in and supported his education.

That opportunity transformed his life.

Today, Raymond is back in school, thriving, and full of hope. His journey shows that with the right support, even the biggest challenges can be overcome.
