Creative Livelihoods

The Creative Livelihoods Project is a vocational skills and income-generation initiative under the Bridge to Thrive Program that equips vulnerable adolescents and young mothers with practical skills for self-reliance and economic empowerment.

The project provides hands-on training in the production of handmade shoes, crocheted handbags, necklaces, liquid soap, and detergents. Participants learn how to create quality products for household use and for sale within their communities, enabling them to develop sustainable sources of income while strengthening their entrepreneurial capabilities.

Through practical learning and mentorship, participants acquire skills in product development, basic business management, marketing, savings, and financial responsibility. The project encourages creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, helping participants transform their talents into viable livelihood opportunities.

By generating income from the products they create, adolescents and young mothers are better able to support themselves and their families, reduce economic vulnerability, and build confidence in their ability to achieve independent and productive futures.

As the project continues to grow, additional vocational and entrepreneurship opportunities will be introduced to expand participants' skills and improve access to local markets.

Goal:
To equip vulnerable adolescents and young mothers with practical vocational and entrepreneurial skills that promote self-reliance, income generation, and improved household well-being.

Objectives:
• Develop marketable vocational skills among adolescents and young mothers.
• Promote entrepreneurship and small business creation.
• Increase opportunities for income generation and savings.
• Strengthen financial independence and household resilience.
• Build confidence, creativity, and life skills among participants.
